Interesting review of KJA's work

Just browsing internet reviews, after a friend of mine reminded me of my loathing of KJA after he read "Captain Nemo". This one was fairly spot on

That is GOOD stuff.
SandRider, give the man a cookie!
One of my favorite passages (among many):
"I should point out that the 27 "Kevin J. Anderson" bestselling titles (so often alluded to throughout this book; excessive boasting, it seems, isn't problematic for Anderson and Rusch) were all franchise books, such as Star Wars, The X-Files and Dune novels. Bravo to him for landing such high-profile, high-paying gigs, but while other, non-Kevin J. Anderson Star Wars, The X-Files and Dune titles have charted, no non-franchise Kevin J. Anderson book can make that claim. It's rather spurious to emphasize his status as a bestselling author when, clearly, the brand that sold those books was never his name."

Not so fast. Giver Serkanner that cookie last August:

Still a good find.

"These stories are shallow parodies of life. They are the living dead, nothing more than soulless zombies."
He really is the quintessential hack.

Sorry for the bad communication, I meant to it to be sorry for having this review on the forums for a second time.

That kind of simpering self-pity is more likely to earn you a stompin' from the likes of SandRider. You'd better man up before he gets back.

I'm certain that if the links to reviews were collected in a single sticky topic, such incidents would not occur.

That's not a bad idea.

Actually, I think the
original topic could be just stickied and then updated every time something noteworthy comes up.

The absurd part being that Frank Herbert is clearly one of the hifalutin intellectual "Talented Authors" that KJA apparently feels are pretentious twats.

There's a thought...
Any record of KJA having written anything about
Dune or FH before lucking into the "partnership" with BoBoHerb?

Intriguing, indeed
But didn't he say
Dune is his favourite book ever?

To be fair, do you actually have to read a book for it to be your favorite?
Did he say, "Of all the books
I've read, Dune is my favorite?"

that's the Keith strategy, he knows it is a masterpiece and he has to say he read it and thought it was the bollocks, not because he
believes it but because that's what he
thinks people expect from him...
wether he did or not is irrelevant(for him)as he doesn't allow a biaised question such as "
have you really read it?(the Readers Digest version doesn't count btw)"

My favorite part is that he claims he reads Dune (by which I think he means the original) "once per year."
Watch for it; he's Twatted/blogged about it before. I think it's usually during the winter/holiday season. It's a combination of "Oh, this book is my
favorite!" and "Look at me! The international best-selling author is showing all this respect for the franchise he is anally assaulting!"
Of course, he's also watching 11 DVDs, three TV shows, going through his collection of Becca-porn, and "keying in some correx" at the dame time. Because he is a knob.
