I didn't know they did a remake of "The Blob". Is there NO self respect left in Hollywood?

Cool. He probably made it 100 originally, then decided there was one more he HAD to add. And then another. And another. It usually happens that way.

Interesting list. A lot of good films and some, er, not so good ones in a weird order.

I always thought Blade Runner was overrated - good (good enough to trek across to Bradistan to see the Final Cut at the cinema :)), but overrated. :?

I thought it was terrible. It was a great idea but poorly executed. The voice-over by Harrison Ford was just awefull. Rutger Hauer was awesome.

What was that movie where Hauer shoved a grenade into Gene Simmons' mouth and pulled the pin? Classic!

Watch the Final Cut Freakzilla, it removes that and adds new stuff. Besides some of the movies i mentioned are childhood and teenhood favorites i rented from the video store, owned on video (I still have the US version of Brazil on VHS as i own the 3-Disc Criterion Edition with Final Cut and TV Cut, i adored that movie since i was 15 in 1996). That year is when Akira i rented from the video store made me love the anime genre besides watching Vampire Hunter D on TBS at late night in 1994, it blew me away and i instantly when i went to Orange County to one of the mall's i bought the VHS of it as it gets better every time i watch it.

You've established that you were born in 1981 several times over now. Thanks ever so, but I think we can do the math if we feel the need. ;)

Blade Runner gets worse every time I see it.

I admit to being pretty blown away when I saw it in the theater. But every viewing since has left me feeling more "meh." Too much of Ridley Scott showing off in places.

Also, the damn thing has gigantic plot-holes. The Dick story has some, too, but the movie has some serious head-slappers.

Like what? I've never really thought about it that deeply.

I do too. My "great" and "favorite" movies are separate categories. :P

I've got no problem with any of that. I was just startled to see it at the very top of a list like that.

I think it's flawed, but ultimately pretty great. I'm surprised to see it at the top, but not surprised to see it near the top.

save the trouble; take out the voice-over, which causes about 3/4 of the story to make no sense
to the first-time viewer, and Deckard is a replicant ...
