On April 9th kja blogged ( http://kjablog.com/?p=753b" onclick="window.open(this.href);return false;) about being a judge for the Writers of the Future Contest. He mentions that Robert J. Sawyer (a former winner and author of Flash Forward) had become a big name (among others).

Not such a big deal. But this Big Name in writing gave a speech about Point of View in the summer of 2006 which can be downloaded as Podcast #4 here: http://www.sff.net/odyssey/podcasts1.html" onclick="window.open(this.href);return false; .

Check out what he says about his fan kja at this point: 7:14 He makes a joke about Point of View violation while illustrating a point to his audience that is made up of aspiring writers.

Next day Rebecca and I had breakfast with Robert J Sawyer, then we participated in several panels and book signings, then a great game with all the guest author, What Line’s Mine?, where the emcee read random lines from the authors’ novels, and we had to guess who had written what. Then a very nice dinner at a local inn with Rob Sawyer and wife Carolyn Clink, other authors Ann Bishop, James Alan Gardner, Josepha Sherman, and their guests.

I'm showing Nekhrun's first post here at "Fri Apr 30, 2010 12:40 am" (my time, JST. That's 0:40 and it's now 18:40). The blahg timestamp is "Thursday, April 29th, 2010 at 9:42 pm", but the RSS feed reports it as "Today, 1:42 PM", or just five hours ago (13:42). Meaning Nekhrun's post came a full 12 hours before the blahg.
