Yeah, the Great Noam sure has lots of followers who write books "popularizing" his theory - which turn out to be shameless attempts at convincing the public it's the only "true" theory. But apart from ridiculing the opponents as the main argumentative strategy, I think there's very little in common as ATF prolly hasn't even heard of Chomsky in the first place, and his linguistic "methods" do not bear the slightest semblance to any real linguistics, and wouldn't fool anyone with basic education in the field (unlike Chomsky, who appears to be more cunning in this respect).
