Hello.
I became a dune fan rather late in life (20 years old). Embarrassingly enough, I saw the films before I read the books.
Usually, it is the opposite for me. But unfortunately the Dune books are not so popular here in Sweden.
It is a small apology but what can i say?
When I had read the first book I was trapped. I continued to read the other Dune books
until I came upon "the others"... Talk about disappointment. After a discussion with a person who liked the new books,
I decided to get an account here among people who think like me.

Welcome, sounds like you had roughly the same experience with Dune that I did.

welcome mate!
there's no shame - what so ever - in starting late on Dune.

Do not be quick to reveal judgment. Hidden judgment is often more potent. It can guide reaction whose effects are felt only when too late to divert them.

I'm the exact same as you by the way, I first saw the Dune film in when I was 18, and got hooked after I saw the miniseries as well. Still working my way through the first book.
I think you'll like it here.
Anyway, welcome.

Where is Freak. I'm getting worried. Anybody talk with him outside of this forum?

I have. He should be back in a few weeks. I don't think he would want you worrying about him, Eyes. He is doing fine, and I know for a fact he cannot wait to get back online here. I asked him to give me a heads up if its going to take any longer.Eyes High wrote:Where is Freak. I'm getting worried. Anybody talk with him outside of this forum?
