the dvd was released last year.

good: lots of Cavill.
bad: Pyramid saves the day.

I liked it though. Not quite Razor, but still good.

HOLY MOTHER OF ALL RET-CONS !!!

well ...

just like the whole series - loved the atmosphere, the whole feel of the show;
plot line had bigger holes in it than the Holy Bible.

such potential, such shitty execution.

Caprica, anybody ?

Fuck Caprica.

And The Plan. And whatever other silly spin-offs those morons have planned.

The second half of the final season was a farce; the final episode was unforgivable. And I mean that literally; I literally will never forgive Ronald Moore and his gang of typing monkeys for actually thinking that nonsense would work.

They get nothing but my eternal contempt. I hope they all get locked into long meetings with TheKJA.

mmm-hmm. im just hoping they find some way to kill off fat bill-boy. that kids not cool. at all... he reminded me of that kid in UP, but with the CRAPPY KNOB turned to 11. i'd always imagined Bill to be some kind of schoolyard demigod as a brat, not a prop fat-kid.

..did that kid even have any lines?

I also find it AMAZING that Bill grew up with the very first protype cylon models. Almost as amazing as finding out that DARTH VADER BUILT C-3PO.

boo.

This is not the SciFi series you are looking for.
Move along. Move along.

this is Galactica :)

The new Balthar with his sex daydreams was totally lame... anywhere else he'd have been locked away in a nice padded cell and been offered a new sleeveless shirt.

Way too much Cavil in The Plan. Dean Stockwell sucked in BSG, he'd be a perfect comic book villain though.

The Plan seemed to be thrown together at the last minute. Didn't feel like my BSG at all.

unlike the epic Tigh/Six romance that unfolded so majestically toward the end of the series.

Stockwell rules!

He ruled Quantum Leap, but he was comic book super villain in BSG.

I liked The Plan, surprisingly. I also liked the final episode. I also liked Caprica. Much more stoked over Caprica than I am The Plan. Woo hoo ! ! !

I think that BSG was a great show, but Ill be the first to admit that it was over-the-top in just about every aspect. Cavil therefore fit perfectly. I love the way he was, and I thought he was a perfect villain.

I loved cavil's speech about hating his human body, but other than that I did feel like he was too much of a programmed villian.

I forgive Ronald Moore and the BSG crew for the bad crap they pulled because they still gave us 3 and a half seasons of the best damned TV I've seen. while I doubt any other show could have gotten away with it, they really should have taken more time between season 3 and 4 to figure out wtf they wanted to do. It seemed like season 4 was nothing but delay tactics and then boom over. The ending was as good as they could have done with as fast as they went, but it left a lot to be desired and wasn't too believable. I loved the last scene with Adama and Roslin.

Caprica? well I'll watch it, but I cant say I'm expecting it to be as good as BSG was.

Still not gotten around to watching The Plan - might have to track it down...

The Caprica pilot was a lot better than I expected, I can't see them keeping the standard up for 18 eps though. :?

Ugh.. Cavil was over the top in a clownish way. I don't think Stockwell is a good dramatic actor, he fits better in comedy. He just never seemed to be more than a guy playing a bad guy badly.

I just noticed this weekend that the Caprica pilot is available On-Demand. Is it worth watching?
