The similarities have been documented before, so at least we're not crazy. The monsters are called "sand whales", by the way.

I like it. There's a clear influence, so beneath all the action in the trailer I'm hoping for some messianic and ecological subtext, even if they'd be watered down. From what I've read, this all takes place on a nuclear-ravaged earth of the future. The three girls are hunters of sand whales, and are seeking to destroy the "spotted" sand whale, which is the biggest of them all.

Poor whales never get a break, not even after the apocalyps.

Im sure that will be coming to Awesome Video down the street soon, and when it does Im all over it.
