R.I.P. Teddy

might've overstayed his welcome/usefulness in DC by about 15 years,
and you can say what you want about him, but Union Labor, minorities,
progressives & poor people never had a better rep. Even stranger that
he was a product of inherited wealth & power.

I liked the man, sorry to see him gone,
but, as sick as he was, I guess it's all for the best.

So who's next? What's her name, Caroline Kennedy? First female presidential assassination in the works?? Ah just kidding...

oh, I think the days of Kennedy influence in American politics is over ...

John John might've had a shot ...

no, I think it's time for the historians to go ahead and
start writing the whole story; it centers around Joe & the boys,l
ends with them ...

Sorry, I'm a little desensitized to his death...

You see, remember a while back when he had a seizure and it turned out to be because of this newly-discovered tumor? Well, for some reason I thought he had died that time, and it wasn't until a few weeks later that I found out he was alive... Not sure how I got confused.

I salute his civil service to the senate and US government. I didnt care at all for the man, but he and his family are
a large block of American history.

Go in peace, prayers and good wishs for the family.

My dad had a long career in Washington DC. He started out low and made it pretty big before he retired. Along the way he made a few enemies. Kennedy and he were enemies - bitter enemies - at one point. I agree with a fair amount of Kennedy's politics (calm down, dad), and he seemed to be focused mostly on fairness, which I find admirable, but he was directly involved in a conservative banishment program that started when Carter was elected to the white house. What happened to my dad during that time is not all Kennedy's fault, but there was some personal targeting there according to dear old dad and old wounds do die hard. I grew up listening to my dad's rants, and that particular one stuck in my craw pretty good. I personally try not to talk ill of the dead, but I bet I could find one man who I think would take a dump on his grave.

I was tired of all the Facebook statuses by then.

The sad part is that they're still talking about Michael Jackson's death...

Is he the one who left the hooker to die, or have I mixed him up with another of the Kennedys?

I think she was an aid. But yeah, he drove his car of a bridge and left her to die/for dead before the cops got there.

He also got kicked out of Harvard for cheating.

Whether he caused a trainwreck, or whether healed the sick -- he is someone who was important in our American History, and the office, if not the man, should be respected. Rest well, Teddy.

Because God's going to judge you, so enjoy purgatory while you can. It's going to get hot, real soon.

Oh. Dear.

I rather liked him more than not. As much as it's possible to like any politician. ;)

But I have to agree with Freak: I was tired of the coverage by about 10:00 AM as well.

I think it has to do with actually having been alive (and conscious) most of the last half century and not needing an infobite refresher course.

Sorry, I meant that to come off as sarcasm. I uh... was trying to act like Michael Savage for a second.

I have not said anything disrespectful about him or unfactual.

A Catholic, huh?

For the record, I'd RATHER smoke a turn in hell than submit to slave worship of YOUR god... if I believed in such childish nonsense.

The Internet loves you, Freak. But that doesn't meant it has to like you.

Child-labour grow-op laws are pretty loose up here...

Plus, we have free healthcare!
