I thought I was the only one ...

... boy was I wrong.
I am ashamed to admit that I have purchased and read all of the McDune books up to McDune 7.5 (with the magical dues ex machina ending). I was almost physically ill at the realization, upon finishing McDune 7.5, that (i) there was no way there were any notes, (ii) I had been lied to, and (iii) I had wasted all that time and money on a pathetic attempt at fan fiction which had the primary goal of milking Frank Herbert's legacy for money.
In any event, I suffered alone in silence for a number of years, being unable to properly express my profound sense of loss at the raping of a literary classic which had such a meaningfull positive influence on my formative years, until I stumbled upon the Dune Novels board, the rediculousness that occurred there sometime ago and, subsequently, Jacurutu. I have lurked on this board for a number of weeks and figure now is as good a time as any to throw my support to the cause.
I particularly am disheartened at the latest "in-quels" that are now directly harming the very story, characters and themes created by Frank Herbert and am somewhat repulsed by the knowledge that KJA will likely continue to hack his way through the entirety of the Dune universe (i.e., Great Schools books?) unless something can be done to convince the HLP to stop him.
So ... hello.
