Rarely does the wall street journal have anything intelligent to say. (I prefer Investor’s Business Daily, BTW.) The link above is to a telling piece – a former Cato Institute member writes on the eerie way that Ayn Rand’s magnum opus, “Atlas Shrugged,” is morphing from fiction to fact before our eyes. (Cato is the ‘establishment’ libertarian house organ, and is generally not to be trusted. Bill Clinton is a soul mate of theirs – dope, debauchery, greed, and no rules – Boomerism run riot as political ideology.) The GOP President bailing out the excesses of a Democrat Congress and their cronies in the “Aristocracy of Pull” (A Randina term) is so obvious parallel that it cannot be ignored.
I’m no Randian, and no libertarian (I prefer, “Tory Minarchist”), but this is too good to not share. For those who have not waded through 1,100 pages of Rand, I recommend reading it now, so that you have a road map of our near-term future. (I recommend a King James Bible for those seeking a farther horizon…)

I am the Restless Knight. It is a moniker that I have used for more than 25 years, going all the way back to my early days when I posted on the dial up BBS systems and played role playing games like D&D in MUD’s prior to the World Wide Web phenomena.

I took on the moniker partly out of my almost fanatical interest in the Templar and medieval history in general and out of my own desire to live my life with the same honor and integrity idealized by the Templar.

Now, after reading the above, I am sure that you are wondering why, oh why, I chose a name like Armies of Chaos for my place on the web. It is simple really. I am fascinated with the concept of chaos. This started when I was young, after reading the Elric of Melnibonè saga by Moorcock. Chaos is everywhere, and in every aspect of our lives. Chaos is the world we live in. In a nutshell, Chaos is all about change.

I have learned to embrace the concept of Chaos, integrating it into a world view that meshes with my own brand of dark humor.

Armies of Chaos is a place where we can express our thoughts and views, a place to let the darkness out of ourselves, so that we can make more room for the light. It is a place to step outside of the box and changing paradigms.

Remember, what we imagine is order is merely the prevailing form of chaos.

Utter nonsense.

I would respond to the factual mistakes and misrepresentations of your article, but you’d ignore half of them, deliberately misinterpret the other half, and immediately change the topic of dispute if anyone challenged you to back up anything you’d said.

Suffice it to say:
* people who did not like the book should be able to write Amazon reviews saying so.
* people who disagree with others’ Amazon reviews about the book should be able to say so in the comments for that review.
* people should be able to write articles in the Amazon forums about the authors themselves and their writing, rather than just about a specific book.
* If there’s a question of whether a reviewer has been compensated by the author for writing a review, people should be able to challenge them on that.

The actions are not only well within the scope of Amazon’s review and forum systems, but they are the *purpose* of those systems – to give opinions about the books and to discuss the authors.

The fact you don’t like the opinions expressed in those posts does not mean those posts qualify as harrassment, or that they should be censored.

The owner of the website “Armies of Chaos”, Brian Conway, is the same “Restless Knight” that we know and who has been concealing his identity by posting elsewhere under various other names. Whether you have a “Brian Conway” who posts here regularly or not is beyond my caring. I mentioned Restless Knight’s name because he makes a point of mentioning mine while not revealing his own. He is a coward.

I don’t know what most of your posts here are about because I haven’t bothered to look at anything but this thread, and frankly I don’t care.

And if you found the above “mildly insulting”, get me started.
