After Brian has passed on, maybe 25-50 years from now, we might get some young HLP members looking to repair the family name that would be very interested in releasing them, even if only in an academic capacity or maybe to the Fullerton collection. If it ever clicks for Byron that KJA is going to drain Dune for every drop of vitae he can then leave it a dried husk in a dark alley, and that he is destroying the family property then heck, even he might recant. Those who have dealt with her say Kim seems to be a fairly even keel and interested in all of Frank's fans. Yeah, I really liked hearing him talk about Frank. I really regret the divide that has come between the HLP and the fans, because I'd love to talk to Brian as well. I'm considering re-reading Winds, because I do believe that there were parts of this that were written by Brian, and I really get the feel in it that its his best attempt at channeling Frank. I think he really believes they're carrying on his father's work, at least in spirit. He also mentions his own early novels, but usually in relation to writing or his father, not really to plug him.
That being said, the book still is a little bully that got sprayed by a skunk. It smells like shit, and it deserves it.
