I've decided not to go. It's simply not worth it.

I'd have to swing by home after work to pick up something for PooPants to autograph, then drive more than an hour to Toronto through a lot of bullshit traffic, then probably wait in line while hating myself for even being there, stand face to face with them, and drive all the way back.

I have to remind myself that they are not worth the effort to go through all that. They don't truly represent Frank, so fuck it.

He said anything of interest was published in RtD. That told me all I needed to know (there is no outline.)
That's probably how he'll react to my questions. I'll pass.

Although... I did plan to address Brian only, and act as if Kevin was invisible. Might have been entertaining.

Bottom line: that's my feeling, too.

They are a pair of hack "authors" who write Dune fanfic. I wouldn't go 90 seconds out of my way to meet either one of them.

I'd ask them "When does Frank arrive to sign books" if I thought I was accomplished enough an actor to keep a straight face long enough for it to sell. :)

They upped the ante with Sandworms, I've never come across anything quite like it. They couldn't have made it worse if they'd tried.

Well he finally did a blahg. Not a very happy one I might add. Just complaining about arriving in Toronto late with no time to prepare for their appearances and the summer heat. The only happy part for Kevin: his fanboys came to meet him dressed as storm troopers.

I am trying to understand why a Dune fan would dress up as a stormtrooper? Feels like a fully dressed KKK member visiting Harlem.

You know he wrote a library of YA SW books, right?

I was trying to forget that. I do know of course he destroyed multiple universes, but it is a dune meeting and not a SW meeting. I find it rather inappropriate. Just like tending a funeral in a clown suit.

The guy in the video has a serious deathwish and I applaud the rather "mild" responses from the people taunted.

Here's a better one...

Barbara Bach, the actress who played Daisy Duke in Dukes of Hazzard is going to be signing at Dragon*Con.

:?

(Leonard Nemoy will be there, too! BTW)

I would do Barbara ... at least I would in the eighties. I have no idea what she looks like now.

Not sure how old that pic is.

I think the Imperial Guard and storm troopers aren't fans, they're security for Keith.

Jessica Has Painful Wind on Dune: #147 on the USA Today Top #150 list.

Is there a level beyond "Epic Fail"?

There's just no way to spin it: that is atrocious.
