I missed the part where you were talking about Dune. All I'm seeing is wingnut videos and random, dope-influenced gibberish.
"Anything I write will be remembered and listed in bibliographies on Dune for several hundred years ..." — some delusional halfwit troll.

Or he got to that "higher grade reality" and decided it wasn't what he'd dreamed it would be? (The Hopi's always Greener on the other site.)

Or the Fremen in that other sietch were quicker than us "innui" here in sniffing out the really vile odor from his thigh poop pads?

Who knows! It's an enigma. :P

I don't like the high grade reality, I tend to overindulge which leads to eating a pound of M&Ms and passing out. It's just a waste of money.

Wow, that was fast. Like Kramer in the masturbation contest kind of fast :)

It's a shame too, because semen was a valuable member here.
Who was nothing but a pleasure to deal with.
Who did nothing but make other members feel good about themselves.
Who never insulted other members without provocation.
Who never once complained to the staff.
Who never once tried to traffic the rules for his own edification.

Yes indeed, a damn dirty shame. Although it's probably more shameful that this "exit" didn't take :)

Dammit there's definitely something wrong with a website that doesn't allow you to add your own name to the foes list!
That's how I wrote the novel, wanting you to participate with the best of your own imagination. I did not aim for the lowest common denominator and 'write down" to anyone. You and I have a compact and my responsibility is to entertain you as richly as possible, always giving you as much extra as I can. I assume you are intelligent and will enlist your own imagination. You'll see that when you read the Dune excerpt and the other stories in this collection.

From the FAQs
(in fact it was the first question I asked myself but couldn't be arsed to check)
Q: "Is this site for real?"

A: This site is real. There are members who seriously believe the Earth is flat. However, there are also members who do not.
Q: Follow-up to previous question: "How is it that the Earth does not have a gravitational pull, but stars and the moon do?"

A: This argument is a non-sequitur.(I know that word, oh the irony of finding it here :) ) You might as well ask, "How is it that snakes do not have legs, but dogs and cats do?" Snakes are not dogs or cats. The Earth is not a star or the moon. It doesn't follow that each must have exactly the properties of the others, and no more.

I think I'll avoid the whole flat earth thing, there's plenty of other fun to be had there.

however, I couldn't help but thinking if someone there could explain
how I got on a plane on San Francisco, flew west to Hawaii & SE Asia,
west again across India to Beruit, north-west to Germany, west to England,
west to NYC, west again back out to California ?

and made a flight one time, NY to London, flying over the pole .....

(they've got a "Magellan's Voyage was Bullshit" or something like that ...)

and really, alot of the NYC-London flights I made back & forth when working
in the middle-east went up across Greenland and Iceland, a shorter trip than
a straight line on a flat map, because, durr, the earth is curved ...

but anyway, win for Mandy, she right - newfacedancer would be very welcome
on that site. And I think most of those people aren't really believers in this kinda
crazy stuff, they just like discussing crazy ideas & are extremely open-minded.

that's what I was thinking but considering the access to all weirdos of the world(world wide weirdos lol)that the interwebs gives us, nothing surprises me anymore...
if they like discussing crazy ideas at least to that I can relate ;)

~Frank Herbert, Intro to Eye

Here is an alternative version of Dune website history of the last few years for those who might want a clear headed, socialist approach and avoid the misinformation & allegations that may be encountered elsewhere.

Dreamers of Dune forum was started by Ivan the Naib and it was paradise. It won several website awards and then it was sabotaged. Many voices screamed out in unison “NO!!! Save our beloved DoD forum!” And so Dario arrived from the deep desert to clone the broken software into a new Ghola forum which after much work finally salvaged some lost posts from old DoD. Many of those same voices from before now cried out in anger; “How dare you steal our posts! Delete them at once you pirates!” And so the posts were deleted. Ivan the Naib returned from his travels, granted permission & gratitude to Dario for salvaging what could be salvaged of DoD by creating the Ghola forum, and created theSietch forum from a very early backup of DoD. Then the Ghola forum was sabotaged. Then theSietch disappeared. (There are several other Sietch sites of the same name).

By this point most of the online Dune community people from Dreamers of Dune had scattered. Remaining members turned into a hostile and often misinformed quango whose knowledge of Duniverse is formidable even if they violently disagree about it on a regular basis and prejudice against anybody who is not of their clique. Many of these characters now have admin positions at Arrakeen forum, at Jacurutu forum and at Worms Scifi Haven forum. All of the other Dune forums have been mysteriously sabotaged with the exception of the Official Dune Site.

Strangely the Official Dune Site is the only forum where Dune fans welcome the abominable prequels written by Kevin J Anderson and Brian Herbert as canon, an acceptable part of the duniverse. All of the others are orthodox Frank Herbert Dune sextet fans who despair at the blatant cash~in of the sequels and prequels ever having been considered. This counts for the major part of the global Dune community. Simply because they are crap, badly written and blasphemously contradict events from Frank Herberts original vision.

The bitchy infighting coming from a group of american republicans who also believe that they own the duniverse is amusing. Most alternative Dune fans have left them to it because we have better things to do than get involved with their paranoia and hatred. So much for Ichwan Bedwine, the brotherhood of all Fremen. It is mildly amusing to watch how this corrupt groups stories get confused and reinvented over time to justify their fears. This in itself is a lesson in psychology and mythepoesis.

Both Ivan and Dario looked at the republican Dune fan quango's behaviour toward other users and left the scene. Many others did likewise. The Scattering. I imagine that there are countless tribes hidden away in digital Sietches not available to the general public. I hope so.

FOR THE RECORD
Rakis Holy Nomad is not and never was New Face Dancer. They are two different users. I know this because I previously wrote as Rakis Holy Nomad on Dreamers of Dune. Sadly the truth of that popular users posts disappeared with the DoD forum. I suspect that somebody half clever is behind NFD and is using the character as a puppet to discredit RHN in the eyes of the admin of these Dune forums. Considering that user url numbers are available to admin of these sites and that most of the admin are of the same fraternity, it amazes me that they have not checked up on it to find the truth for themselves. They evidently prefer to live in their own aggressive fantasy which is proof that many Dune website admin suffer from cognitive dissonance.
Again: Many of these characters now have admin positions at Arrakeen forum, at Jacurutu forum and at Worms Scifi Haven forum. All of the other Dune forums have been mysteriously sabotaged with the exception of the Official Dune Site.

Lovely little shitty piece of innuendo, huh?

Since he eschews capitalization, it's hard to know whether he means "American republicans" (Americans who support the idea of a republic) or "American Republicans" (members of the G.O.P.) ... although the latter doesn't mean much since I assume there are no Canadian or British or Mexican or Russian members of the Republican Party in the U.S. :P

That is the first time I have ever been accused of being an Republican, and an American one nonetheless. Over here in the polders of Den Haag and the surrounding low-land most people know me as a social-democrat. Ah well ... more proof that the guy IS nuts.

When I have some time to kill I will read the lizardman story.

Yep. Large parts of our country lies below sea-level. The polder is part our water management system to keep our feet dry.
