Dune Doctors

We all know that FH started the Dune stories by thinking about dune erosion as an outline for the Duniverse(sounds better than a stained floppy disk from who knows where).
In fact this does mean something to me as I live in the south west of France and very close to the Atlantic coast, specifically the Landes area:
http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Landes_%28 ... rtement%29" onclick="window.open(this.href);return false;
We also have the highest dune in Europe(the Dune du Pyla/Pilat)
http://www.jjkphoto.ch/photo_dune_pilat.htm" onclick="window.open(this.href);return false;
Dune erosion has always been a problem as they slowly eat away on the mainland, in my lifetime I have seen the changes; so it's slow but it's there(no sand trouts though that's a breather!)
To fight this local authorities have been using a variety of plants for their roots can stabilize the advance of the sand.
But what wasn't my surprise to stumble on that website:

Amazing!
