I don't follow pro sports much, but I feel confident Canada would stomp everyone else in lacrosse, it is our national sport after all.

We actually don't have one official sport anymore. Canada's national winter sport is ice hockey and it's national summer sport is lacrosse, adopted since 1994. Our national sport WAS lacrosse, but like I said, that changed in 1994.

yeah the natives invented it, didn't they? and then we also invented hockey and basketball...

Yes, the First Nations invented lacrosse, and from the looks/sound of the name I'd say the French named it. I wouldn't say "we" invented basketball, ONE person, who was a Canadian citizen invented it, I don't remember helping. As for hockey, I think that's really really debated where exactly it originated, though it definitely morphed into it's final form here in Canada.

Nope, that's just our favorite sport. Our gov likes to pretend that we respect the First Nations, so they made lacrosse our national sport.
