I actually watched some of that, but have no idea who won or who played well.guild navigator wrote:So, Spicelon, what did you think about the Syracuse-Cornell 2009 NCAA champ game?
I had actually written "what the hell is Spain doing playing lacrosse" but deleted it.TheDukester wrote:I can't believe anyone fell for that lacrosse line ...

I don't follow pro sports much, but I feel confident Canada would stomp everyone else in lacrosse, it is our national sport after all.
Yes, the First Nations invented lacrosse, and from the looks/sound of the name I'd say the French named it. I wouldn't say "we" invented basketball, ONE person, who was a Canadian citizen invented it, I don't remember helping. As for hockey, I think that's really really debated where exactly it originated, though it definitely morphed into it's final form here in Canada.Baraka Bryan wrote:yeah the natives invented it, didn't they? and then we also invented hockey and basketball...A Thing of Eternity wrote:I had actually written "what the hell is Spain doing playing lacrosse" but deleted it.TheDukester wrote:I can't believe anyone fell for that lacrosse line ...

Nope, that's just our favorite sport. Our gov likes to pretend that we respect the First Nations, so they made lacrosse our national sport.Freakzilla wrote:I thought it was ice hockey!A Thing of Eternity wrote:I had actually written "what the hell is Spain doing playing lacrosse" but deleted it.TheDukester wrote:I can't believe anyone fell for that lacrosse line ...
