I just got my hands on a great new Dune book...

Sand Dunes of the Great Lakes!

I don't know if any of you have ever spent any time in the Northern end of the lower penensula of Michigan, but the Dunes there are just awsome to take a long walk on....

I'll take that to mean you have never experienced the majesty of Upper Lower Michigan, in the Traverse City area - it is awesome...

:D

How large an area do the dunes cover?

Sleeping Bear Dunes are about 30 - 40 miles of Dunes. It's a really nice area to visit - especially during the cherry blossom festival in Traverse City. Lots to do, lots to see, great cherry deserts, and dune after dune to walk up and down....

I have not been there in a few years, but always look forward to going back.

The only part of Mich. I've ever visited was the Grand Rapids area. I didn't see that much there and that was long time ago. The only Dunes I've had the honour of seeing are the small dunes at the coast in my home state.

Yup, that would be the "afraid" part that had me worried :)

Well, as a native Ohioan and OSU graduate, it would be lax of me not to add FUCK MICHIGAN. :)

Lawl! Gotta love a good rivalry.

As a former resident of the Ann Arbor area, I'd just like to add:

I've noticed OSU has been conspicuously absent from football championships for the past 6 years or so. :P

(Not to say Michigan hasn't.)

I do have to admit, Michigan players always did look so purdy when they got the chance to do that, rare as it was back in the day.

Kinda like, you know, one of them there prancy ballet dancers. :P

Oh yeah: Teg, get out your code book:

Glorp! Klaapoo marauder nictine! Boogah boogah, Bilbo Baggins! The Eagle has flapped its wings, circled the wagons, and shat on Gramps while he was down on the South 40 pleasuring the cattle. Meanwhile back on the ranch, Gramma was beating off the Indians....
