I didn't know the 84 movie produced so much...stuff...for sale (pencil case,etc...). I guess they wanted to profit from the Star Wars era...

It was a case of wanting to profit from the Star Wars phenomenon that profited so much from stealing from Dune.

For those of you who somehow missed Dune it was an award winning science fiction novel written by Frank Herbert in 1965 that was made into a movie “Dune“ by David Lynch in 1984. It is a little surprising Shia has the Dune t-shirt since Shia wasn’t born until 1984.
What's that last sentence supposed to mean? - sounds like their thinking is along the lines of "like why would someone want to read an old book!"

I don't know ... can you really use "thinking" to describe what's going on inside the heads of people who devote a website to celebrities in T-shirts?
