Yeah... that's almost as dumb as the girl I used to work with who wa caught (on film by a PI) dancing on a table at a club while supposedly seriously injured and sueing over it. Let's just say that didn't go great for her.

Of course, they'd have to figure out how to find him on this site, but still, why risk it?

I had a case like that, Thing. Two actually, but one makes a great story. I had a workers comp applicant who claimed RSD (Reflex Sympatheic Dystrophy). That is an extremely painful inflamatory/neurological condition that mysteriously arises after a trauma, sometimes a minor one. There are three diagnosable forms, two of which are designated as CRPS Type I (Complex Regional Pain Syndrome), and CRPS Type III. Type I has easily recognizable objective symptoms, such as cold skin, scaling, hair growing the wrong way, skin color change, and occasionally changing from one limb to the other. It is extremely painful, and slight touches create extreme pain. It is a real condition. Type III has all the pain complaints, but none of the objective symptoms. I see both types of claims, but by and large more of Type III than Type I.

I had a young girl who claimed Type III in a worker's comp claim. We took her deposition and recorded it on video. She claimed it was in her hands. In the video she holds her claw-like hands in the frame, and even had her boyfriend sitting beside her to hold up a glass of water with a straw when she got thirsty. She testified that touching the glass would cause agone. He touched her hands once or twice and she screamed in pain. I wanted to ask her how she wiped her ass, but thought that would not look too good on a video.

Our investigator followed her with a video camera from the deposition and got video of her that evening dangling from a pole at a local strip club.

As far as I know she is still serving her sentence.

The other story is about a guy I deposed who did a lot of the same stuff and had the same complaints. A day later my investigator got video of him throwing hay bales off the back of his pickup truck. Now him; I think he's out already.

As far as finding him on this site, all they need to do is link his username with his actual name. That can happen anywhere. Google does the rest. Let's hope for him that none of my worker's comp friends ask about him.

Ha, that is a great story. I don't think the girl I worked with got in much shit for it, not sure why not though. She definitely didn't do jail time, maybe a fine or something.

Too bad we didn't know about that blog before he locked everything up. I'm sure there was some good reading there about all of the party members.

I'm supposed to be working, but I'm off later today to go to the mountains for the rest of the week so I'm not exactly in work-mode.
