Buy "Cosmos" by the late Carl Sagan, rather than a book on astronomy it's a celebration of the achievements by the human race, and he explains clearly things like: the structure of the universe, the Big Bang, the lives of the stars, ther Theory of Relativity & the evolution of life. highly recommended.SadisticCynic wrote:I've always been unsure about buying physics (or any science) books simply because I don't want to waste my money in case I can't understand any of it.

Start with physics textbooks (highschool even, or college or uni or whatever... but intoductory for sure), they're generally written in great detail and simplicity, and wil gibe you a great starting point to understanding other writing.Omphalos wrote:When it comes to science books I like to look them up on google books first.
