Eerie. Although I must also comment on the Omega Point Theory, mind-blowing indeed.

There's a FH story called Looking for Something (in Book of FH) that's another Matrix-a-like.

This physicist Frank Tipler, talks about it in his book The physics of Christianity.

I've always been unsure about buying physics (or any science) books simply because I don't want to waste my money in case I can't understand any of it.

Thus Providence hath given us eBay and Amazon Used Books. :P

(The Physics of Christianity? Is that physic in the archaic sense of "laxative"? :? )

Buy "Cosmos" by the late Carl Sagan, rather than a book on astronomy it's a celebration of the achievements by the human race, and he explains clearly things like: the structure of the universe, the Big Bang, the lives of the stars, ther Theory of Relativity & the evolution of life. highly recommended.

When it comes to science books I like to look them up on google books first. A bunch are partially shown so you can see what you are getting into.

Start with physics textbooks (highschool even, or college or uni or whatever... but intoductory for sure), they're generally written in great detail and simplicity, and wil gibe you a great starting point to understanding other writing.

An elephant and a mouse jump out of a tree at the same time from the same height, which one lands first?

And the elephant could always grasp a branch with its tail.

Why is the elephant in the tree to begin with?

What is the mouse thinking as he jumps?

There was a news story a few years back about a man from Newcastle who got lost in a tree.
