For a hunting weapon, its retarded to use a caliber that large. As I said the recoil on this weapon is small due to a few design elements such as the anto vibration system. Plus its shoulder mounted anyway. You only find heavy recoil in old riffles and large handguns. The Desert Eagle for example will brake most people wrist if they do not hold it correctly.
The classic movie gun but in RL would really hurt when you pull the trigger. I fired one of these in Florida last time down that way at the range. Even with proper training my forarm was bruised for a week.

It is a nice display peice, the white frame and engraving is nice, I would not want this weapon in a combat situation, it has too many internal issues common with semi/auto switch weapons. I think she will enjoy shooting wolves from the helicopter with it.

Its an elephant rifle. I shot a Weatherbee .480 carbine once, and not only did it about rip my shoulder off, but I hit the center of a 3" sapling I was aiming at. It literally blew that entire section of the tree away. The top of it jumped up a little, then fell down like in a Road Runner cartoon.

Like I said this weapon could clear cut a forest. LOL poor little sapling!

I'm sure the sniper rifle ammunition is of much higher power (more grains in the cartridge). This weapon is based on the AR-15, appearantly. I doubt the chamber is long enough to hold such a round. I've never even seen it before so I can't say for sure.
[edit]Ahhh... you're talking about Ma-duece (M2), that's not for shooting at living things... unless they're inside a vehicle.
No way you could put the same round in the rifle in the original post. M2 ammo is nearly six inches long (99mm)[/edit]

I LOLed at your first post just because the M2 is such a beast of a weapon more of tank canon then gun.
Also consider the A15 does have a punch back, but just not a heavy one that you would feel from an old rifle or uber handgun like i posted earlier. The A15 also has a lot of different models and mods, one mod is a recoil prevent measure that saposedly gives it 95% less recoil and vibration then a M16

On the M16 as well? Cool story FZ.
