That would be some bioweapon! Although massive in effect it does have the kind of political subtlety (i.e. who can you blame?) I would expect in Dune.

Returning to fantasy land, we should make miniature sandtrout, introduce them to someones diet (a la tapeworms) and then watch them shrivel. Then from the dry dead husk we could salvage a wombful of spice!

I like my bioweapon better!

(Or was that too KJA for me?)

Not if we test it on KJA first.

You gotta love a place where a systems announcement turns into an actual Dune discussion ...

It couldn't have taken all that long if the BG did it on Chapterhouse in a relatively short time period.
i guess it depends on the pre-existing water content on the planet... if chapterhouse was a planet that had lakes, but no real oceans, it wouldn't take relatively too long.. if they were brought to a water-covered planet, it would take a hell of a lot longer.
Didn't Odrade go swimming in an ocean on Chapterhouse before the sea went away?

Think that was more of an inland sea of some description. It still shocked Odrade how quickly it vanished though.

Maybe we just figured out a way to get more Dune discussion on here. If we start off-topic then it's inevitable that we go off-topic from that and end up on Dune. :FH small: :occasion-happyhalloween:

There's a serious lack of redneck smileys on the internet. I could only find two (didn't look very hard, though).

This one looks like a vampire Image and this one just sucks Image

Well I have not been tested with the Gom Jabbar so I can't say that I'm human...

I didn't have a pain box so I just used a microwave. I'm still not sure if I passed or failed the test.

That's a fail. A human would know to trick his trapper into the microwave thus removing a threat to humankind.

The Gom Jabbar test is meaningless if you already know the way of the test.

You have to survive an overdose on drugs instead.

Is that why Jessica had that done to Leto? I could never figure out the deeper reason to it. Cool.
