Nonsense! Brian can tell you on exactly what page Duncan's eyes are described as being red in color from too much drinking the night before.

;)

With his mother beside him, Paul leaped for the door, seeing Idaho blocking
the passage, his blood-pitted eyes there visible through a shield blur, claw
hands beyond him, arcs of steel chopping futilely at the shield. There was the
orange fire-mouth of a stunner repelled by the shield. Idaho's blades were
through it all, flick-flicking, red dripping from them.

Chani stood over him now, looking down on the soft beard of youth that framed his face, tracing with her eyes the high browline, the strong nose, the shuttered eyes—the features so peaceful in this rigid repose.

by Deep south i mean class rooms in trailers and courses like alabama history, grammar and overall structure weren't emphasized, however we had a mean FFA following......anyways i went to the dunenovels page and found a treasure chest of awesome Dune insight, i submit the following gem i found under the topic "fav dune villain":
" i gotta agree with you, cowluva, Erasmus & Fenring have to be the two best villains.
Erasmus evoked so much disgust, and hatred from me as I read the Butlerian Jihad, but by the time The Battle Of Corrin was over, I
really pitied him and respected his vision. Kudos to BH and KJA for being able to mess with my mind like that. "
Fantastic

House Corrino was ridiculously bad, and I actually thought House Harkonnen was decent.

Sandworms/Hunters are pretty awful.

If you ask me, the biggest butchery by P&B is not having Paul born on Kaitain or making Mohiam Jessica's mother or Marty and Daniel.

The worst sin they committed was the godawful chapter prologues/intros. Frank's were insightful, deep and interesting, we learned much about the characters and attitudes of the "times" of Dune from them. P&B made them obvious, stupid and annoying.

A number are lifted from the narrative text of FH's books (and sometimes misattributed in the process!), others are quotes from their own books, and some they claim are from FH's notes & materials. The rest they obviously pulled from each other's smelly places. ;)

Giving River Tam a cameo.

sorry I meant Marie Fenring.

I don't know if we've ever had this contest: Try to find a KJA moment that didn't come from some other pop culture source.

Now that could be engaging.

The real joy lies in the quest, not in it's ending, Grasshopper.

I was thinking it would be more entertaining having people post something they thought would win only to have someone point out "this scene from Avatar or Star Wars" etc.

Heck some of the events are pathetic rehashes of things that already happened in Dune: Gurney and Duncan's fight in WaD. That's a deliberate gift to the fanboy intellect of his 501st readers.
