It's a shame that Frank's demon seed defiled the new hardcovers with his preq-shilling foreward. I was interested in buying them up until that point.

I'm not interested in buying anything new from them. Every dime they make justifies their continued rape of Dune.

I go back and forth on this. As it is I have only bought the ACE hb of Dune that came out years ago, not the new five in the 'eco-clad' covers. Im a hb snob, but I really hate the idea of giving those butt-smacks any more money. Maybe I'll by used copies sometime.

i did buy the new copies through the SFBC, but only cuz i didn't have any hardcovers and they're a nice set. i will never buy any more herbert products new ever again though.
