Alia of Dune?

Hey ... I finally read all the way through Webdrood's interview with Stephen Youll and just noticed the mention of "Alia of Dune" at the end.

Youll calls it the next book in the series after JoD and Webdruid doesn't correct him. And in the comments at the bottom of the page he again uses that title.

According to what Kevin has written before now, the third book is to be called Irulan of Dune. Is this yet another suddenly announced change (like adding Leto of Dune to the series when they signed the book deal, or resetting Jessica after Messiah)? Or is it just two self-styled "Dune fan" pretards screwing up the details?

As usual. :?

Big Brother is watching....
I'm sorry, I must have forgotten the titles of them all. I can only remember Paul of Dune, Jessica of Dune, Alia of Dune, and Leto of Dune. What's the fifth again?

Duncan of Dune is inevitable.

And such a catchy title! How can Pinky and The Brain resist?

and such an interesting character.... i mean imagine how many books they can write with a multi-millenial lifespan... and his transformation from bodyguard to ultra-super-uber-kwizatch-fucking-haderach is so riveting and... oh shit :puke:
It's OK. Just take your "Forget-Me-Now" and you'll feel better in the morning.

Oh you just wish, don't you?

I secretly hope Kevin has the cojones to try to pull off A Thousand Lives and a Life one day. ;) Although I imagine that the fiasco of him trying to write the God Emperor will be the final nail in the McDune coffin.

I'd be interested to see how they'd tackle a Duncan of Dune (horribly of course) although Leto of Dune will probably serve the same purpose. Maybe DoD will take place between God Emperor and Heretics? That would be interesting at least.

And yes, once they fail AGAIN to accurately capture the Leto II persona, hopefully that will be the end.

Not only inevitable, but likely a series of its own.

Kevvie is absolutely without shame. He'll ride this gravy train, cashing checks on the basis of another man's work, until he's forced to stop. And as long as the pretards keep seeing that big DUNE on the cover, they're likely to keep scooping them up.

It's like that "in bed" joke, where the HLP can basically publish a Dune novel about anything as long as it has "of Dune" at the end to make it attractive :)

Arrakeen Janitor...of Dune
Terminator...of Dune
The Stooge Trilogy: Larry Of Dune, Moe of Dune, and Curly of Dune

Acording www.dumbnuvels.com :

''Our beloved twin hacks are writing a new preseinterquel to ''Alia of Dune'' titled ''Baron Harkonnen inside Alia's head of Dune'', this new book will be about, in a new and flashy matter, about the stories that the Baron Harkonnen will have inside Alia's head.
Expect hate, love, sexal harrasment and 100% more gore than even before!
And in the venue of Hunters / Sandworms of Dune this book wont be 100% Duncan Free.

You guys just aren't seeing the full truth of what's being planned here, looking closely at the cover of JoD lets it slip.

Well I'm not reading any more new Dune novels. I might one day read all of Frank Herberts novels again but I'm currently reading other books.

But I'll still keep track of how many books Brian and Kevin write. So far there is 10 books and 6 short stories. With two short stories they tricked fans out of their money.

But anyway, remember how they said how the Heores of Dune series will not be published as one book a year? They would write one Dune novel and the next year work on other projects and then the year after that another Dune novel. But they did not want to wait to get Jessica of Dune out the following year from Paul of Dune. Why? Because they prefer the money to flow in faster?

I hope the drop in sales will make them stop writing but it could be a slow death like Zimbabwe. Oh, one more bit of encouragement: perhaps Kevin will eventually get bored of it. Since he prefers to tell about his own silly life in the Dune blog instead of the Dune novels themselves. Sign of his lack of interest in the project?

No, he's had a lack of interest from the begining of the blog.

Of course he's pitching a tent. He's being paid to destroy a literary masterpiece. It's the only way he can get it up.

I think he is giving us the middle finger...

(It's obvious, he gets himself in the cover art and then gives us the middle finger)

Good eye, Carlos!

My 3D model parody of the cover is coming along. Kinda fun, even. (I'm starting to understand how people get hooked on this stuff. )

I'm not going for a 100% reproduction, just want to suggest enough so that (the few) people (who have seen the cover art) will know what it is. Everything you see is an object in the model. (Except the fan rotors: I cheated on those. )

I'm going after the 'thopter next. :D
