In Jasper, Alabama it is illegal for a husband to beat his wife with a stick larger in diameter than his thumb.

In Arkansas a man can legally beat his wife, but not more than once a month.

In Los Angeles, a man may legally beat his wife with a leather strap, as long as it is less than two inches wide, or she gives him permission to use a wider strap.

the beating laws
seriously? are cases treated by the letter of the law in practice?
Those are real laws but I doubt they are enforced. I wouldn't want to be the one to test it.

That's what my book is about.

Anyway, I think we need to develop some kind of mind-control that'll put women back where they belong. (Cooking, cleaning, ect...)

They're getting to powerful! If that fucking bitch had taken office, it would truly be the ned of all men.

Ned (Scottish)
From Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia

Ned is a derogatory term applied to certain young people in Scotland, akin to the term chav in England. The stereotypical view of a ned is a white adolescent male, of working class background, who wears fake brand names (particularly Burberry), who engages in hooliganism, petty criminality, loutish behaviour, underage drinking and smoking or general anti-social behaviour[1]. They are often assumed to be unemployed.

The Collins English Dictionary defines ned as "a derogatory term for a young working-class person who dresses in casual sports clothes"[2], although this omits the hooligan element.

I saw on the internet where someone proposed a fourth law of robotics as an addition to Asimov's first three. It is"

Robots do not want to sleep with you (please take note, Japan).

maybe that's what really started the Butlerian Jihad ....

maybe we got it backwards -

like the Apes, they learned to say "No!"....

There is actually an oficial fourth law, the zeroth law:

"A robot may not harm humanity, or, by inaction, allow humanity to come to harm."

This one comes before the first law.

I remember reading about this quite a while ago. He says she got too mean or something, and he wiped her memory and started again, supposedly with her consent...

He tries to pitch it as a new form of sexuality which deserves as much respect as any other (bleh) but then before that he said that he's dated girls and they were always judging him for appearence/whatever (failing to note that it was really because they got the creepy vibe from him and the sex was all too mechanical). So really he likes girls, he just has no social graces.
