A dutch review

One of the largest dutch sites hosts a review section, it hasn't been running for that long, but there's already a review on Paul of Dune on it.

For those of you who aren't able to read Dutch, here's the conclusion of the reviewer.

The book sucks. It's written by mongoloid children, one of which is just a bitter little man with a grudge against his father.

Here's the review from the frontpage for Sandworms of Dune:

It gets one star... and the conclusion is "it's a horrible book"

  That's brilliant. After all those 5-star amazon reviews days after the book's release, it's great to see some more accurate opinions beginning to filter though

Translated version (not great) here:

Een misselijkmakende mislukte abortus die nooit het levenslicht had mogen zien.

A nauseating failed abortion that the light was never allowed to see.
Was this your handiwork, Secher Nbiw ? It was either written by one of us,
or by someone who has read this site. Good work.

{and thanks to the Fish for the translated link - I never get around to using that feature - guess I should !}

I Never really cared what the dutch had to say before, but I'll have to pay more attention to them now.

I think.

I'm glad to see I'm not the only one in the Netherlands who sees these books for what they really are:

- A shameless exploitation of Frank Herbert's legacy.
- Thick bundles of toilet paper, disguised as novels to rob loyal Dune fans of their money.
- They are rubbish. Nothing more, nothing less. Well, actually...

By chance I also read this review about a week ago and immediately thought it must have been written by a member from here. It wasn't me, but I share the sentiment of the reviewer.

I feel the same.

He use some phrases, opinions and ideas very common to be read here or at DN at very long time ago. Maybe he was/is a member of DN, because if he was from here I think he probably would have shown us that review.
