Wow, it's getting to be like an annual event, huh? Does this mean Uncle Mike forgot to watch the database size again?

(My database apps seem to be fine at the moment, so it's not a Network Solutions server problem. Assuming they haven't jumped providers with the snazzy new site upgrade. )

Give them a break. The server can only cope with so much stupid before it startes to creak under the strain.

Didn't Byron try to distance himself from the Heroes of Dune title? Now he's got a whole little section for it. He's the worst sell-out of the bunch because he just takes it and takes it and feeds it back to everyone as quality.

Exactly! This is my main point against the arguments of people like Nebiros. What is so holy about FH's work that makes him infallible? I mean, I can think of a certain other bearded Dune writer who is much more of a Jesus-like figure in my mind. But I don't want to make this a religious argument.

What I'm really getting at is how the original six books are relatively dull compared to the new adventures. I read them a long time ago once, but I've read Sandworms like twice! I'm in the middle of Winds right now, just got to the part where Bronso and Paul try to see the navigator. Very cool stuff, and it adds a lot to the character of Paul Atreides.
