I typically "don't know" how to smile. Apparently you're only smiling right if your mouth is open, and I can't force a glimpse of my teeth without feeling stupid. So my "smile", when I try to make it happen, is a mischievous-kind of grin.

I'm the same way. I never really ever smile for a picture or something. I don't see how that's a real representation of what life is like. They weren't all smiling in the 1920s photos I've seen.

That's because they all had diareah and only lived to be 40.

Nice! One of the best "guy traditions" ever. I even got married with a flask in the pocket of my tux.

Didn't you used to have an excellent waxed mustache? Or was that just the way the pic made it look? I think you were smoking a pipe if I recall correctly.

Yep, sometimes I still do. The bride requested that I didn't wax & curl it for the wedding.

I don't know if I'd go that far. That pic was taken inside the Excel center in St. Paul for Ice Racing. We try and go to some kind of odd sporting event every so often. That's where we saw people race motorized bar stools around an ice track. I started growing beards on and off after growing one for a monster truck rally to fit in.

Really? I can buy you not being a MH, but the guy next to you? He looks like he's either a biker or a metalhead for sure! Or he just likes the beards, which is cool.

I've gotta get some pics of my beard up, but I haven't shaved my head in a long time, so I gotta get that done first.

He's into it more than I am, but I don't know if I'd call him a metalhead. Both motorcycle enthusiasts. We're way into growing beards though. I've got a great shirt with a picture of a guy with a beard and it says, "Beards, they grow on you."

I'm not so good with the small-talk, but once the topic steers towards growing and grooming beards then I can hold my own. Every time I shave it off I regret it, but luckily I can have a pretty full one in about 2 months.

I was thinking of trying to get some tattoo pics up as well I can't remember if I posted any finished ones since I had the outline done a couple years ago.

Beard growing is very difficult for me, it doesn't grow in thick at all, and length takes a long time to come. I shave the bottom on my neck every so often to give more the style I want. When you see my pics you know what I mean by "difficult", the thickness and length I have now has been growing for over a year.
