Well considering the prevalence of pogrom, it's likely that the Holocaust epitomizes a persistent fear of the Jewish people. I wouldn't be surprised if, 23,500 years into the future the Shoah has taken on legendary status and figures in their beliefs and cultural psyche like other stories of their people. Hitler probably looms the same way Pharaoh does over Passover.

It's my interpretation of what Frank was trying to tell us during the later Dune novels. That's why the Tleilaxu dispised them so...keeping their genetic material unaltered or hidden from them was considered an abomination to the masters, IMO.
