ive always wondered how long leto waited before ordering the BT to bring him a duncan?
wonder how many duncans the BT kept for themselves during his reign?
how many of those duncans escaped the BT?
how many of those got themselves to arrakis for the viewing of the god emperor?

On the other hand, you have to balance this against the time-spans laid out by the above post, and then factor in the possibility of some Duncans being killed off relatively quickly, ie in 5-10 years.
Thus, my guess is that there were anywhere from 100-200 Duncans.
Notable here is the wording: *only* 19 Duncans lived out their lifespan (natural or extended), which means that this was a minority, and a significantly larger number of Duncans were killed off. That's a good point. I guess my estimate can be considered a lower bound, with potentially hundreds more deaths, depending on how many Duncans had a short fuse and quickly rebelled against a seeming tyrant (who was ultimately teaching humanity by bad example, but that's a subtle point).georgiedenbro wrote: ↑11 Sep 2024 13:30At least.
