Leto II is gone for good, except for OM. The "pearl" was just that; a miniscule portion of what Leto was, and not a compressed version of the whole. The pearl that the worms have do not make them Leto, or in any way similar to him.

Hey SadisticCynic, have you attended any part of the Opeth Heritage tour? I'll be going to my first ever concert, and I can't believe it's going to be Opeth. I'm just curious to know whether there'll be any death vocals, cause the Australian leg had none.
When Paul was three I found him wearing lingerie I was planning to wear for my Duke. I asked him: "How can this be?" and he answered: "For I am the Kwisatz Haderach!" I was proud since these were the first words Paul ever spoke, but now I knew for certain that my Paul was a special boy. I brought him to Duncan's room while he was busy "training" a young maidservant in the Art of Sword-Handling. My Paul shall be the best! - Tleszer

No, I haven't been to any of the Heritage tour concerts. Belfast is pretty low on the list.

I have heard though that are not doing any growled vocals on this tour I'm afraid. :(

My first concert was also Opeth, a couple of years ago. It's certainly something to remember! :)

Apparently a guy in Sydney wouldn't stop yelling 'Blackwater Park!' throughout the tour. I don't mind, but I'm still a bit disappointed that they won't even play something like Harlequin Forest or Hessian Peel or any other song with only a few death vocals.

I love Adam Hurt, he's got tons of videos on YouTube but the audio is pretty bad on most of them.

That's Bela Fleck. He has a ton of albums with more stuff like that on them. Vic Wooten, his bassist on the earlier albums, is fucking awesome. I was always more interested in bluegrass and newgrass, but his jazz/classical inspired stuff is great too. And actually the way those instruments trade the melody back and forth is a hallmark of bluegrass.

If you like the electronic versions:

(Check links at side for two more).

I prefer the orchestral versions personally:

I'm not a huge fan of Fatboy Slim but this song is awesome because;
1. Christopher Walken. He is a superhuman demigod and should be appreciated as such in all his glory. Even in Balls of Fury.
2. the Dune reference, right about 2:15

This is fun. There's a couple of gnarly remixes too.

More Dutch music:

"... the mystery of life isn't a problem to solve but a reality to experience."

“There is no escape—we pay for the violence of our ancestors.”

Sandrider: "Keith went to Bobo's for a weekend of drinking, watched some DVDs,
and wrote a Dune Novel."
