ridiculous. they outplayed them on almost every stat.
Like the Falcons, the AFC #1 seed didn't show up either.

I'm thinking that 1st round bye could be a bad thing.

I was right about the AFC but I think the Jets will beat the Steelers. At least I hope so so I can rag Jim the Steelers fan at work.

I think the Packers will beat the Bears for the NFC Championship.

Jets

I'm hoping Steelers will win. Sorry Freak but I'll have to go against you on this one.

I love the Star Wars poster. Interesting playoff weekend, to say the least. Green Bay over Chicago in a close one. As for the AFC...Pittsburgh by 17!

been gone a while, sorry , RL is being a bear. Anyway, kinda late to this discussion, but will chime in best I can. I am KC CHIEFS Fan (born and raised in and returned from military, living here in Kansas City, MO now). Im a Patriots fan second, and steelers third, AFC after that.

Chiefs loosing, not huge suprise, but disappointing. Still a few holes to fill but future looks good (worried about Haley and another OC, but we will see).

Patriots- massive dissapointment, they just didnt show up.

Steelers, ugly win, but hey, they are in the Super Bowl, so yea!!!

NFC 6th seed in Super Bowl?? hmm, oh, well I can deal with it I guess. Packers-Steelers for the lombardi, has good ring to it.

Steelers 27, Packers 24

overall seems like the playoffs the teams of the regular season just didnt show up, and the ones that did, snatched away the prize.

Like they say ....On any given sunday...

If they don't get their heads in the game you just might be right. 21 to 10 right now. Hope they will come back strong during second half. Go Steelers ... PLEASE!

Well, I'll have to give credit where credit is due .... Packers played a good game. :tissue2:

Hopefully Steelers will pull it off next year.

It wasn't as much of a blowout as I would've liked, but it was very satisfying, nonetheless. Sorry, Eyes, it's nothing personal, I just have a long and complicated history of hating the Steelers.

Love you guys. Can't even tell you why I like the Steelers. They've just been my team since I was little (before my state got a team of its own) Once a fan always a fan...more or less.

Oh well...there's always next year. Maybe the Panthers will do better as well. Now if Steelers ever play the Panthers....don't know what I'll do then.

somebody was telling me at the bar a while back that this next season is when the NFL will push the Houston Texans;
however many years it's been now since the startup of that franchise is when the Powers give it that extra attention,
rig more games in their favor, etc.

this is the same guy who told me about the similar thing with teams that move towns, it's a certain time passage,
then the NFL pushes them up to establish the franchise better ... he was talking about the year the former Oilers
got good as the Titans ... also Rams & Ravens ... somebody else ... went all the way back to the Tampa Bay team
that lost every game the first two seasons ...

I dunno ... I nodded my head alot ... rodeo starts in 5 days, and them bastards ain't gonna let clown again this year ...

Pedantic Alert!

You've been warned ... move on to another thread now.

Okay; ahem ...

The Bucs lost their first 26 games as a franchise, but won their final two games in 1977, their second season.

End Pedantic Alert!

(I tried to warn y'all ...)

As an injured Michael Vick walked to the locker room and was showered with jeers from Atlanta Falcons fans, he brazenly pointed twice at the scoreboard. The Philadelphia Eagles were leading 31-21 and Vick was letting his old fans know it.

Vick was still in the locker room getting care for his injured neck when the game ended. Had he been on the field, Falcons fans surely would have helpfully pointed out the adjusted score: Atlanta 35, Philadelphia 31.

Hahaha, nice!!! And, it looks as if the Texans are getting a "push", it might be that they have the best wide receiver in the league and some great running backs. Buffalo Bills and Detroit Lions are looking surprisingly good too.

Dallas Cowboys defensive coordinator Rob Ryan had a picture of a model wearing a revealing outfit on his play chart during Sunday's game against the San Francisco 49ers.

Ryan and the Cowboys are mum about the odd inclusion. If he does speak about it, the real reason will almost certainly be far less fun than the speculative ones. Is it the visual equivalent of smelling salts? A reminder to play the "Cover 2" defense? Or just some eye candy to distract from seeing Kyle Kosier all the time?
