I think that's been one of the great thing about the last few years. You can never really tell. As ridiculous as the sock puppets make McDune out to be, there's always some dipshit out there who makes the preeqs look even dumber.

those are the requirements to be a macdune fan though, so anything is possible stemming from that, unfortunately!

Jon Foster: I know that there have been lots of critics against the newer novels being writing since Frank Herbert wasn't the one writing them But I absolutely love the new ones as much as the old ones. They fit easily together and I thank both Brian and Kevin for having the courage to write them
God bless you for having the courage to mass-produce Dune as tween fiction, ensuring that no one interesting or talented will write another one in the next hundred years.

Yeah, I was thinking the same thing:

"Bless you, Spanky and Bobo, for writing fiction that caters to the Lowest Common Denominator; like other mouth-breathing preeks, I have no wish to be challenged, enlightened, or actually entertained by my fiction. Just spoon-feed me a McDune every summer and I will continue to give you money."

Complete and total morons, the lot of 'em.

Is it hormonally challenged teens in basements, getting a laugh from their friends when they post them to myspace?

Or is there an office, where a guy clips on his 'Graphic Artist' badge comes in, and the 'Smiley Manager' has left a to-do-list that included the above graphic as something to be finished by the end of the day?

It boggles the mind...

Both of it, I suppose. Perhaps sometimes they even get very similar results :) Remember: rule 34 has no exceptions!

Blick.

Still no McDune news. (Was this a 60-day announcement cycle, or the 90-day cycle? With Byron, you never know what "a couple of weeks" is supposed to mean. )

Throne or Sisters, Heroes or Stools?! The TENSION is unbearable! :P

(And shouldn't Kevin and Brian be getting together soon for a... BRAINSTORM?!)

TurD is a direct sequel to WoD isn't it - I still can't believe they'd drop it and leave the story un-finished. The whole McDune mantra is "plug the gaps, complete the story"...
DuneFishUK wrote:at the 'island' is a space station.
While I'm posting here, I'm going to retract this. The publisher has told them to stop fucking up and do something good. A main feature of (good) Dune is ecology - McDunify it and you get a maverick (good or evil) Dry-land Ecologist (KJA must have gotten that far into Dune before he gave up.) With a grand plan to fix the earth.

Yes, it re-treads the Pardot Kynes thing... but originality is beyond their remit and their ability.

I don't know... KJA has a hard time "killing his darlings", and I imagine he was pretty proud of that idea. ;)

But that is a point. The terraforming/rejuvenation of Earth could be a big theme in Sisterhood, riding the Avatar Ecowave into the Dune movie!

And there was that young planetologist who Amp suggested is a Kynes ghola! (Edit: Oops, mixed up the streams of flowing bullshit here! )

The Great Stools: Eco-friendly McDune!

You don't need to when you can hike in nearly-polished prose. I also heard that he dances in iambic pentameter.

Hell, if he could define iambic pentameter I'd be shocked.

I hadn't bothered to look at the Corporate Dune Facebook ...goodlord, is the stupid thick in there ...

love, love, love the "comment deleted" gaps ... and the gape-mouthed undeleted responses ...

so I see what's happened - they've let the Official Corporate Dune Forum fall into oblivion,

but I don't think Merritt can talk Facebook into IP blocking the OH ....
