What instrument of "pleasure"(?!) would a BG dominatrix be likely to use on you after she had you chained up and wanting it?
A swift boot to the face that would be sure to leave an "imprint""?

I have no idea.

Wow...all this repressed hate and rage! :P

Remember who is asking the question, and remember that this is Dune. A real dominatrix would use one, but I'm after the one in the books.

Now don't disappoint me....

Sorry, didn't get online last night after getting home.
Crysknife wrote:An Inkvine whip?
No, but you are so very, very close! ;)

(Actually...this one would have been easier if I'd made her a Fremen dominatrix. Oops.)

Got one, what was the name of the cyborg chuffer in the post LetoII era?

That's easy. It's Clairby in Chapterhouse.
Right there with that good feeling in her, the message signal clicked. She glanced at the projection surface, a pure reflex, and recognized crisis. Such a small thing (relatively) to precipitate crisis. Clairby mortally injured in a 'thopter crash. Mortal unless . . . The unless was spelled out for her and it added up to cyborg.

Um...I think it was Phaedrus' turn to ask, but what the hay. One on his tab. ;)

(Chuffer? One who chuffs?)

I love chuffing. :D

So, is it my turn now? I'll pass for Phaedrus or whoever has anything.

Some say Shai-hulud moved him.

From that instant, Kynes had but to point, saying "Go there." Entire Fremen tribes went. Men died, women died, children died. But they went.
Who was he?

You mean "he" like who did Shai-Hulud move?

Uliet - when he fell on his own knife.

"Remove yourself"

What was the function of the Ixian Artifact worn by the Preacher on Selusa Secundus?

Nothing, it wasn't even from Ix. It was to disguse his use of prescient vision for natural sight.

It amused
him to think that the mask and the boy served the same purpose -- disguise.
While he needed surrogate eyes, doubts remained alive.
Let the myth grow, but keep doubts alive, he thought.
No one must discover that the mask was merely cloth, not an Ixian artifact
at all.

Who told Dama what Mother Superior's nickname for her was?

That's way too easy, Freak.
"What is your name, child?" Great Honored Matre asked. Her voice rasped hoarsely with age and false bonhomie.
"I am called Sabanda." Clear young voice, still untouched by the pain of probings.
I love probings.

My turn- Who needed a knife to compliment eyes for infiltration?

Piter De Vries.

lol, well you accused Freak of making one too easy, then you made one too easy.

To continue this easy streak:

What are three different names the Fremen gave sandworms?

Posted: 08 Mar 2008 17:49
by orald
Well, reason Freak's was easy is 'cause you only need to search a name, mine requires you to have read a certain chapter to get it, but it was easy, I know, I'm not good at riddles like I told you.

Shai-Hulud, Shaitan and, uh, "the maker"?
Or do you mean:
"Old Man of the Desert," "Old Father Eternity," and "Grandfather of the Desert."

Posted: 08 Mar 2008 18:05
by Freakzilla
There's also "dragon on the floor of the desert".

Darn! Didn't I tell you, Mandy, that I had a nagging sensation of forgetting one? :(

So...riddle me this, riddle me that...

What trick did Paul refuse to use even though it would've meant his life?

he refused to say "uroshnor" which would probably be the programmed word the bg's use on someone dangerous to make their muscles hesitate long enough for the kill....he refused to say it when fighting feyd..which is funny..cause his saying "i wont say it" basically had the same effect 8)
