EDIT to add
That's so funny though I dunno how I didn't see it and I almost got pissed off at the blind fucker thing, and then I started using my brain again and things made sense once more

That's disgusting. What an unbelievable ass-kiss.

Curious - Sandchigger was wondering why Amazon UK had cover art while Amazon US - seems we now have the answer. Smellhole opens its orifice to the UK in October, the US is spared a full four months, not getting it until February next year. Is there precedent for this with former McDune novels, as it seems mighty strange to me?

Hellhole is off to a very slow start here in the states, not that you'll ever hear Keith admit it. The date slipping to February is a fairly new development, and also a bit of a strange one. After all, they've been done with it for weeks now (not that it took them more than a few days to "write" it in the first place, but whatever), so there appears to be no good reason to delay.
The best part: 2010 goes down as the year of not a single Spanky/Bobo release!

They want to see how it does overseas before they place their order for US hardback copies. It's a sign that they fear it will fail. They don't want to be left with a jillion remainders on their hands. If it tanks over there, Tor will do the minimum to comply with the contract they signed, and slash the marketing budget for the States.

I would bet good money that no one will give a shit about this book. Who's gonna read this bullshit? KJASF members? That's 25 copies...

Yeah, but watch. kja will blame the publisher then for the shitty sales. It will never be his responsibility.

They don't put Keith's name first huh? They must still want it to be shelved by those DUNE books. I'd really like to see how this one would sell in the A's in the Young Adult Section.

Nobody is gonna read that bullshit. Don't they realize what a stupid title "Hellhole" is? It's kind of funny, if anything. Sounds like a fisting-themed nightclub, and it is one, apparently. Obviously, though, these two idiots think this is a very impressive title for an epic. They have a big problem mistaking the laughable for the epic, in all areas of their writing.
