should you find yourself talking to a girl at a wedding
party, or bar,
a good litmus test is the following
" did you know bohemian rhapsody was the only song queen every recorded?"

Strange ways our minds work sometimes: Started two hours ago talking with my youngest son about time management and balancing the different aspects of his life; i.e. school, chores, computer time, outside activities, time studying his Bible... etc. (and still trying to convince him to READ) And in an hour-and-a-half we went from that to talking about 'gay' rights and the idiotic ways people mistreat and misjudge others. And discussing the difference between 'government' and 'the people in government'.
As a mother, I admit, I was proud with his stance on the issue of equality

-- even if I felt his irritation was directed too broadly -- i.e. the difference between the government and the actual people trying to pass certain laws/amendments.
My only concern, if he has this much cynicism towards the government at age 15 what will it be like in 40 years?

It may just be cool teenage cynicism rather than something more deeply entrenched, Eyes.
What cured me (mostly

) of my particularly insufferable teenage cynicism was having friends who were better informed, yet still generally optimistic. We didn't so much complain that government was useless rather than talk about ways it could be useful.
(Yeah, I was a hoot at parties.)
Re: reading. Yeah, that's a tough one. My son doesn't read much, despite my best efforts to encourage him. In a world where he can get information on the Internet in a few seconds, reading a book in which the plot or characters don't really develop for a couple of dozen pages seems tedious to him.

No, this is:
Iran unveils unusually colored blue submarine
By Eric Pfeiffer, Yahoo! News | The Sideshow – Fri, Nov 30, 2012
It looks like the Iranian Navy really wanted people to see its new submarine. In a live broadcast on state TV on Wednesday, the Islamic Republic showed off a new Sina 7 submarine that is painted in an unusually bright turquoise blue hue.
So, why exactly would any military want to design its ship in a color that can be easily spotted ? The Daily Mail speculates that the ship's designers mistakenly chose the color, believing it would help the craft blend in with the ocean's waters.
Launched from Bandar Abbas, near the Strait of Hormuz, the Sina 7 and two Ghadir-class submarines represent the first wave of the country's "indigenously built" warships, Iran said.
"Since the beginning of the Islamic Revolution, we have learned not to ask for help from other countries and stand on our own feet in meeting our demands," Iranian Navy commander Habibollah Sayyari said during the broadcast.
"Thanks to the Islamic Revolution, Iran has acquired the know-how to build submarines. No one believed that we would reach a point where we would build destroyers capable of carrying helicopters and missiles in the Sea of Oman and oceans … because it's a very difficult task to build destroyers and submarines."
The Sina 7 is reportedly capable of firing anti-ship missiles, which the Iranian government says is a centerpiece of its new defense strategy.
Two repaired hovercraft vehicles were also showcased during the broadcast.
