As long as you note that it's a willful stupidity, or 14evin only answers the questions in the e-mail-fill-in-the-blank-interview that he wants to. I wouldn't be surprised if he has some sort of final approval agreement for these 'interviews.' Why else would no one be asking the real questions? I know there's a lot of goofs online but you can't tell me that there are no giant killers left anywhere.

I saw an article, maybe a book yesterday that talked about how the mind interprets or stores information from reading the same as it does from other sensory inputs.

My first thought was "My god, does that mean that shit like 50 shades of twilight/kja/etc represent how the vast majority of people think/perceive the world?"

I mean, to a sentient mind, that has to be the scariest shit I've ever heard.

@TheKJA Reading the Saga of Seven Suns, it's absolutely fantastic! Up to book 5. Do you have any advice for a new sci-fi author?

@nerdmarius Hey buddy, if you think that the Saga of $even Sucks is good, then you need to do a few things before you start writing.

Get better taste in Sci-fi, probably by reading actual sci-fi.

If you want to be one of the "critical darlings" then you need to read KJA and do the exact opposite of what he does.

Realize that the author you asked for advice gave you an advertisement for a paid seminar on how to get published and sell books, not on how to write.

Read critical reviews both good and bad. Look at what the complaints are about certain styles and authors.

For Gawd's sake, EDIT. They tell you to do this in school. There is a reason a first draft is called a first draft.

Oh, looks like I went over 140 characters. Cause' I don't use twitter to ask for advice.

That is a fucking classic !

I kinda felt a little bit bad about my supertards sig (well mostly for the real mentally challenged people that actually have an excuse), but this makes it all good again.

After many days of pooping, I realize I would have saved myself time if I just didn't eat all those extra burgers in the first place.

How many extra words could there be in 'nearly polished prose?'

When you think Keith can never top himself saying something utterly stupid, he surprises us yet again.

They named their kid after Professor X?

Search your feelings, you know this to be true.

wasn't it after reading xmen that professor k decided he wanted to be an in-universe hack ?

I wish he'd had relentlessly repeated the genesis of his calling anytime anyone asked him, and at times even when not probed, just for good measure, then we'd all know how the magic came to be...

If only...

No interesting twats for 2 months?

In that case, let's see what tehKJAckass has said about 'Mentwats'

June 12: In Seattle with BriBri plotting the thing.

June 30: 50 page outline finished.

August 28: First draft chapters completed.

In between those, just less than, two months - he attended 4 conventions and a writing seminar - so you can see how much attention he paid to the first draft.

Only 16 months until publication - sigh...

Mega-Cthulhu in Ultra-Space isn't as scary as the Lovecraftian dread I feel when I think about the hack playing in the sandbox of the Old Ones.

Nemo uses an ultra-mega-power-mech-suit he salvaged from the derelict Old One ship to vanquish Cthulu.
