This is the kind of asshat fan that keeps the shit floating...
I love the depth of your comment, he's more dense than shit!
I find it hard to believe Danny A is behind this, I always thought he was cool.
GBII was pretty stupid to begin with. THe original was great because..well.. it was original.

they should leave it alone and do something else. I agree with SC, Hate Hollywood remakes just get worse and worse and as do reboots.

I watched The Phantom Menace in the cinema tonight. Ah, nostalgia galore. :D

That movie was my childhood (unfortunately?).

Oops, meant to post that in the 'movies you watched recently' thread.

Yeah, it's pretty bad, looking back. It spawned a few games that my brother and myself played endlessly when we were kids though. Many fun times. :)

the idea of turning the frail, sickly, and obviously insane Lincoln
into a super-hero is beyond laughable ....

but I am surprised I did not see it coming,
given all the Confederate Zombie movies ....

I like Timur Bekmambetov (the director) - he does ludicrous effects laden bullshit so much better than everyone else :)

(Reuters) - "Titanic" director James Cameron said the 3D version of his 1997 blockbuster, released to coincide with the 100th anniversary of the sinking of the luxury liner, "turns up" the experience of the original.

It's official, on his next dive, I think the Titanic should kill James Cameron.

Avatar sucked ass and wasn't the dawn of a new generation of moviemaking. I told em so.

Titanic was abysmal gooey shit and it should have stayed buried in the depths of time...
Avatar was like a cut scene from a video game, but at least in the video game you can forgive the overused clichés in exchange for some first person action...

Will Ferrell on Conan:
I want to announce this to everyone here in the Americas, to our friends in Spain, Turkey and the U.K. -- including England -- that as of 0900 mountain time, Paramount Pictures and myself, Ronald Joseph Aaron Burgundy, have come to terms on a sequel to Anchorman.
:x Anchorman is a modern classic and shouldn't be touched.

Sequels suck.

Except for Wrath of Kahn and Empire Strikes Back.

Avatar has had more influence than you give it credit for - regardless of the result, Cameron ploughed half a billion dollars into developing new technology which isn't going away, and hasn't gone away.

We already knew that visual effects do not equal a good film, nothing has changed, but the processes that go on behind the scenes got a whole lot more interesting, and we're still only just starting to see what is possible now.

It WAS visually stunning, if nothing else.

Oh, Avatar was certainly the dawn of a new era of farming the box office. Just not moviemaking.

An argument could be made that it set a cultural benchmark, but is that argument worth being made when the benchmark is being set lower?

And that new tech that lets them go back and remake movies in 3D...The first two they chose were Phantom Menace and Titanic.

Phantom Menace and Titanic

I accept your apology.
