Holland is white again under some 10 tot 15 cm of snow. So far this has been the whitest winter since I was born (the odd fourty years ago). Traffic is severly hindered and I have no idea how long it will take me to get home today (I'm at the office). Commonly it takes me an hour(+15) to get home but I'm afraid it will be at least two hours today. I wish it was summer again.

It's 89°F here, 61% humidity. Feels like soup.

Cloudy and cool in the morning, blue skies and high 70s in the afternoon. It's really starting to feel like when it's nice here the rest of the country sucks and visa-versa.

105F @7pm ... I think you have to have moisture in the air or something for a "heat index" ...

You are right SR, and humidity we have. But only enough to raise the temp by ten degrees. Actual temp was around 100 - 101. Just feels like 110 between 15:00 and 17:00. It was only 89 at 19:00 last night. I'll let you keep the triple digits at night. :angry-fire:

yesterdy it was a nice 67 since it finally decided to open and rain. 2 8/10's of an inch over the course of six hours. No idee what the temp on the mountain was, I was off in the middle of the state where it was 90 and bloody humid plus the fraking sagebrush was blooming and my allergies went into over drive.

Earlier this week, one of the mechanics pointed his thermometer at the hanger floor to get a 106.2F temp.
Today was overcast & not as hot but very still, humid, & very uncomfotable.

The days are getting shorter and soon people will be complaining about the cold. I look forward to cooler days because they're less distracting. if anyone else prays, ask for some kindness and some focus for the poor slobs in the heat whose work affects others-
Leto II is gone for good, except for OM. The "pearl" was just that; a miniscule portion of what Leto was, and not a compressed version of the whole. The pearl that the worms have do not make them Leto, or in any way similar to him.

I hear ya, about praying for us poor slobs who have to work in a factory. Even though Ford Motor tries there hardest to keep things cool, last week it was still over 100F on the assembly line, just like outside. There is only so much air conditioning can do, and a roof covered with 2 feet of grass.
