But...was for the "wilting" and general size...let's just say that every time I see it, I feel like an important government research facility.
You know, one with a MASSIVE ENDOWMENT!

Canadins can never be hot. Canada is all snow and polar bears.
We're getting 40 C days(+100 F) here and milder nights, though still a bit hot. Lots of dust in the furnace winds, so maybe it'll block out the sun and it'll cool down.

I've never seen 40C in Canada, I have seen it with a negative in front of it though! It gets to 20C - 30C in the summer in most of Canada. Also, we are getting low on Polar bears, something about the ice caps melting...orald wrote:Canadins can never be hot. Canada is all snow and polar bears.

After about a week of temps steadily rising to the 40's(C) it seems like all the wind-blown dust and steam from the heat have created a cooling blanket and we've been having a cooler weekend.
Days are still hot, but more around 25-30 C in the shade at most, and it got a little chilly in the nights, today I wore long sleeves for walking the dog and it was still chilly(granted, my shirts are like light pijamas at best, don't have anything heavy and thick unless it's a coat).

Weird how that works in with posts in another thread today....
Ah, it's by no means hot here but it has been absolutely LOVELY for two days now!
This is an old pic, from two years ago, but it looked pretty much the same driving down the road this morning:
(The Pacific from the Joban Highway, just a little north of Hitachi)
Love it.

Yeah, try 104 with a dewpoint of 75. I don't think it go quite that hot last summer, but it was close.Tleilax Master B wrote:shit, a cool summer dayFreakzilla wrote:It gets up to 104 here in the summer.
I've been out on the alkali flats near White Sands before in the dead of summer where our thermometers were reading 130. But its a dry heat!
It's really cold here now (hides from Canadians) it's been below freezing the last few mornings and only getting up into the 50's F.
I'm going to go build an igloo...

Damn White Sands reflecting all that heat back at you, not to mention the humidity spikes when we get a monsoonal downpour...Tleilax Master B wrote:shit, a cool summer dayFreakzilla wrote:It gets up to 104 here in the summer.
