I've got a stock pot going with ham hocks for pork stock to go in red beans and rice tomorrow.

On tonight's menu: Shrimp & Sausage Jambalaya

I'm about to start the roux, this requires total concentration...

Lamb chops and parboiled potatoes.

Future-ex bought 'em, I cooked 'em.

I made a new "Oh Hell, What's That Damned Cat Been Into This Time?!" dip last night.

Tasted great, but pix would be too stomach-churning...

Sounds like an interesting approach - just use any ingredient that shows signs of feline tampering...

Just imported a load of photos - including this one from last week: Sausages in apple juice.

Saute green pepper, celery and garlic.


Add green onions, diced tomatoes and chicken broth.


Add Andouille sausage and rice.


Season

Serve with buttered French bread and what else... beer.

Frozen/seperated butter fat on the right, pre-filtered bourbon on the left, a coffee-maker pressed into use as a filtration system in the middle.



Brown Butter infused bourbon. Makes a fantastic manhattan.
