Yeah, it's somewhat rough and simple, but it really works well. The pose and the eyes look really menacing

Yeah i saw this one on DeviantART last fall, the creator said only digital means were used, it's very impressive!

How else can you ride a worm standing up yet still have hooks stuck in it?
The Lynch version showed how it should be.

This looks anatomically correct to me. This is a picture by John Schoenherr, I think (the original Dune artist). I agree on the hooks though, I always pictured a long stick with a curved end.
