How hot are you?

I think it was 36 or thereabouts the one time I looked at the thermometer outside the kitchen window yesterday afternoon. So mid 90s?

Air conditioning is out (again

) and it's supposed to get hot this week, so going to try to get someone in to look at it today...

So I think it rained maybe, what, three or four days the whole time (nearly a month) I was back in Ohio?

Land at Narita last Friday afternoon around 3:30 and it was cloudy and gloomy.

A typhoon roared through to the west and it was rainy and windy most of the weekend. (I think the sun came out a little bit on Sunday morning, but I was lagged and out of it.)

Rain, rain, and more rain.

Then yesterday was amazing clear and sunny! Boom, blue out of the blue! I could see all the way to Mt Tsukuba in the south when I came out of the Hitachi tunnels, and almost make out the mountains to the west around Nikko!

Then by evening it was clouding up and getting ready to...

Rain, rain, rain. Supposed to last through Saturday, the last I heard. Fuck.

God I hate this country sometimes.

Still raining here. Third or fourth day in a row now, but I'm not complaining. We NEED the rain. The only problem is that as fast as it was coming down, we were having some flash floods in the state. We got more rain in 24 hours thand we did the whole month of May.

Not to mention it has finally cooled down. Nights in the low 70s to upper 60s and days in the low to mid 80s.

Thank God Autumn is finally here it seems.

Actually I think it has more to do with orbital dynamics and axial tilt than some Boojum...

104 in Sacto when I left on Monday, so, like, fuck that. I was in Spokane, WA all week and it was a beautiful 78 every day. It was beautiful.

31 C yesterday, 32 predicted today for Joburg (that's very high 80's F, almost 90). It's still only Spring, godsdammit.
