Wow! Nice weather here after days of rain! Just popped in for a spot of lunch and hey, it's still down!

Maybe they're blocking me, too, now? :D

Finally found out what the stupid bitch was ranting about: People at her other sites were "freaked out" because SHE warned them that we were cyberstalking and were liable to do oh god knows what immoral actions to try and sabotage their heretofore blissful existences.

Sometimes you encounter stupidity so profound it takes your breath away.

Her new line is that she risked getting banned from Dune Novels to protect the members of her forum.

Anybody remember anything like that happening? Was that before or after she invited Byron to join Arrakeen?

...

I'm really almost completely bored with this idiot now. Time to go back to baiting the athletic closet case.

There's nothing immoral about killing people who deserve it, and I say most of them do.

Also, talk about a twisted self-fulfilling "prophecy".

In memory of Perach, who suffered and died needlessly.

Hey...has anyone accessed the 'Keen gravesite today?
Safari can’t open the page “http://s10.invisionfree.com/Dune_Forum/index.php” because it can’t find the server “s10.invisionfree.com”.
Another one bites the dust?
No, I heard from him, but it's like sending messages to another planet. I may have to wait for a while for another reply.

We're getting somewhere though.

Is hiking athletic? Hiking burns about the same amount of calories as bowling.

Uh....guess again. I ran into orald right away in the immigration thread (how could you forget that debate) so I knew exactly what was going on. And IIRC I got notes from two users there to supplement my impressions of him (nothing but love, I promise you orald). I had also read TONS of his posts over at Arrakeen, so I knew exactly who orald was, and Worm had invited me months before to start posting book reviews, and had lurked there quite a bit before joining and doing just that. IIRC I also got a little 'tude from you, my dearest, and based on the degree to which you were sticking up for him, I hardly think it was the "last straw." It was just more of the same, and certainly not the first threat from Worm, and was no new reason to consider banning him. I guess the last straw there was oralds? Anyway, I knew who he was, what the general impression of him was, and appreciated his wit, like I still do.
What the hell are you talking about? How would you know what the last straw was or wasn't? You weren't in on any of the discussions regarding the moderation over there. You had only been a member for a couple months. I ALWAYS defend Orald because I think he's usually misunderstood (and I love the fucker).. his sense of humor is weird, and people who don't know him just think he's being an ass. He gets on my nerves all the time, but I still want him around. The last straw had nothing to do with me. He knows I was defending him for a long time in private before he was temporarily banned

lol.. I guess anyone who disagrees with your immigration politics is giving you attitude. Or is it just the females, dearest?

I can't help it.. I like a good argument sometimes. Omph gives as good as he gets. He never seems to hold a grudge when we disagree, which is really rare on the internet.

Also, I have a squishy spot in my heart for Orald. It kind of irks me that anyone would think I was behind him getting booted. When I get mad at him I just argue with him and get over it.

I didnt mean to suggest that you were behind it at all, Mandy. Sorry if it sounded that way. All I was trying to say was that I think I had the situation dialed in pretty good, pretty fast. That's all.

That's pretty much only for Hypatia, and the fuckwad that fired me from a job six years ago while my son was in the NICU. Eternal scorn on the former, but I pray for painful and drawn-out death occasionally for the latter.

I agree with Mandy here. I wonder if I could have gotten Worm to let it slide if I was still a mod over there... I saved Orald's ass more times than I could count :P

All those beer-gut and love-handle confessions probably didn't do too much for some people's allure on here.

Have we seen TMB and Pardot's bellies on here yet?

To those who are stalking me -- just quit it. It's one thing to harrass me, but you are also harrassing people who are not me, never heard of you, may not have read Dune, and don't give a damn about any of this -- but who are rightly freaked out that some stranger is bothering them.

Not all "Hypatia" or "Klea" users on the 'Net are me.
Unless someone actually joined up somewhere and posted something, there's been no one "harassing" anyone. "People...who are rightly freaked out" implies that someone has done something and someone else has reacted, no?

She's a frickin' loon.
Someone once described Hyppo as a source of endlessly entertaining disgust, and I think that sums her up perfectly.

So it turns out that no one did what she claimed we had, and she was the only one running around the internet harrassing complete strangers, warning them they were about to be hassled when no one had any intention of doing so.

Hyppo, you really are a disgrace. You are like a diseased cow that needs to be put down before it infects the whole herd.
