Is it the weight of his ego, actually bending his neck muscles? Is it some sort of misguided "just shoot my good side, please" notion? Is it some sort of goofy affection that he thinks looks cool?
He definitely thinks it looks cool.

Why couldn't it have been Kevin in that Segway accident. WHY GOD!?!? I wish I could go back in time to stop all of this horrible writing from ever happening.

Oh good GAWD!
Now you see why I kinda stopped reading his blog and just look at the purdy pictures!
"Dark Carbuncle"? WHAT a title!
Glowering Pustule. Mirthless Boil. Pouting Pimple. Murky Eruption. Shadowy Abscess.
Oh gawd someone STOP ME!

you should see the wiki pic for carbuncle...
(there's a character in Final Fantasy called like this, I never really understood how they chose that name...)

carbuncle: 2 a bright red gem, in particular a garnet cut en cabochon.
Could it refer in this case to the red patch on the critter's forehead?
(For all we know, it
could refer to a gem in KJA's title, too... but given his penchant for the gross... nah!

)

There was a Great Carbuncle in Julian May's Galactic Milieu Series.
This guy has NEVER had an original thought.

This one here is my new nominee for

It should go into photography textbooks under "don't do any of these things."

For anyone who hasn't been to the top of the Arch, the ride up is long, jerky, and claustrophobic. They pack you into what looks like a large dryer and seal the doors. If ever you need to define hell, imagine eight minuites with KJA & Becca locked inside a steel drum.

Holy shit, you're so right! We might be praying for the wrong thing.
St. Louis Post-Dispatch headline:
"Idiot hack can't work simple controls, launches self into Mississippi River"
That
so could have happened!

Damn! Maybe we should take up a collection and send him one for his next birthday?
No... then he'd start dictasegwaying.
What the fuck is wrong with his body? Has it been 'shopped?

A final note on why God has forsaken us: Kevin's helmet would not have protected him.
[pedantic cycling safety sidebar]
Never wear a baseball cap or a thick wool-type cap under a helmet; the helmet itself is meant to have a snug fit.
Never, ever tilt your helmet back. It's the front part of your dome that's going to take the brunt of any over-the-handlebars action. You want that bad boy going right across your brow, not tilted back where it will not only do no good whatsoever, but will also probably pop loose upon impact.
[/pedantic cycling safety sidebar]
So, seriously, if Keith had gone down, his head would have essentially not been protected by a helmet at all.
Argh! We were so close! Unfamiliar equipment, plus distracted by thoughts of getting some Becky-love that night, plus wearing his helmet like a complete dipshit, equals one hack writer in a vegetative state. Or at least it should.

Are you completely sure the plan wasn't to tire her out so she
wouldn't come groping later for the "Little Hiker"?

Jabeccas prayer;
Bless the Little Hiker and his water. Bless the coming and going of him. May his passage cleanse my world.

My take on this:
Bless the Little Hiker and his microbrew. Bless the coming and rubbing of him. May his passage smudge my world.
