LOL :)

I swear, some of them are so bad I can't understand a word. Then you get some liquor in them and they might as well be speaking Japanese :)

Well, here's a Dune related pic I stumbled across. I think it wins the prize for making the least sense of any Dune art I've ever seen.

Looks like it was inspired by the Lynch movie and Brazil.

Maybe thats the artist rendering of a pissed off sandworm chasing KJA after it heard about what he is trying to change them into?

Thought I would inject a neat find I got the other day, browsing for dune pearls:
Image

1971 promo card first attempt at Dune by Apjac films,

Interestingly here is the Paperback cover that its based off of, I happen to have a copy of the paperback also:
Image

Different looking dune cover thats for sure, and didnt know had been other attempts at dune earlier than lynch film until found info yesterday.

Be thankfull nothing came of the Jodorowski reinterpretation of Dune. Imagine an insane idiot's version of Dune after reading it in one sitting on LSD, that's what it would have been like. There was some cool concept art that came from that aborted abomination though.

Do some reading into the Jordowski version... it makes the Lynch movie look pretty accurate by comparison.

I've always wished someone had done something with H.R. Giger's Dune work.

He took a bunch of his concepts and turned them into the comic book Meta-Barons which was pretty damn cool.

thanks for feedback on the Apjac version, the link on dune info was interesting, like you all said, a bizzare take on the books ideas for sure.

As for Nekhrun's sketch, very interesting... I dont know why but the first word that pops into my head is, Rorschach, when I look at it.

It makes me think of worms under the sand.... then it gets weird... Farce of the penguins popped into my head which lead me to thinking of a spoof on a spoof, "Farce of the Worms" and samuel L. Jackson Voicing for a Worm in a group of Worms out in the deep desert, is that weird or what?

Great sketch at least for me, Inspiring!

1. Trang here just implied Nekh's sketch looks like a random smear of ink.

2. Trang has a very disturbed mind.

I thought it was just sand, a worm and the night sky. That's the kind of stuff I do during staff meetings.

I thought it was a line of Fremen riding/waiting to ride a worm, under a setting/rising sun.
