The worm trip!

What is the Suk conditioning and how does it work?

It's a conditioning that prevents the subject from taking human life, cuz in the Duniverse nobody gives a hoot about Hipocrates' oath.
It works by Hypnosis from what I recall.
In memory of Perach, who suffered and died needlessly.

I wish I could have been with you that one last time.

Suk Imperial Conditioning.
I do not know about the Hypnosis.
It is the ultimate conditioning given @ Suk Medical Schools.
It inhibits taking human life by "touching" an inhibitory level in human conscience called, Pyretic Conscience.
Suk Conditioned humans are tattoed with a red diamond on forehead.
The "Conditioning" was believed to make a human safe to minister to an Emperor.
It was believed that the "Conditioning" could not be safely removed from the "Conditioned Human" without killing him.

Well, it's basically hynosis...and it's a black diamond in the old empire AFAIK.

If it was hypnosis then such an implantation could easily be removed (relatively), is it not more likely to have been some form of deep seated aversion therapy against taking human like or betraying their patrons trust, think A Clockwork Orange time 100.

The bolded part is what I was looking for, particularly the Pyretic Consciousness. Your turn.

Yea, yea, I know I was supposed to bring the exact technobabble term, but I was too lazy.

Staban Tuek advised Gurney Halleck to be patient & to divert himself.

What did Tuek recommended to Halleck?

(I didn't use emoticons in my post. Your quote is therefore incorrect.)

Water, green grass, and the beauty of women(my PDF copy says "woman" but with no "a" before it, and grammatically I think plural is the right choice, so I changed it).
Cool your sorrow--we've the diversions for it; three things there are that ease the heart--water, green grass, and the beauty of woman."
But, as Halleck suggests, there are better thing still:
Halleck opened his eyes. "I would prefer the blood of Rabban Harkonnen flowing about my feet."
In memory of Perach, who suffered and died needlessly.
