That's the first good comment I've read about that movie, I'll watch it.

Really? In Reddit everyone seems to love it, and the critics were generally positive about it as well.

Just spent a lot of time on a few LOOOOOOOng ass flights. I saw Boyhood (great), Hercules, with the Rock (fucking sucked soiled ass), November Man (I liked it despite its faults), The Drop with Tom Hardy (not bad, but he annoyingly played his character like an even dumber Rocky Balboa, which was not required for the film to work), and a bunch of Chinese movies that had some great Kung-Fu stuff in them.

They also had several episodes of Louie from the most recent season - I really love that show.

Someone is making a film of The Man in the High Castle.

I don't watch much TV, so the last movie I watched was in the theater - "The Hobbit - The Battle of the Five Armies." It was better than the second movie, at least. :(

I would not get your hopes up, Serk. I haven't seen much, but none of hte actors stood out to me.

Did you see the recent movies of The Adjustment Bureau and Radio Free Albemuth? both kinda sucked, IMHO.

I saw Predestination yesterday, which is based on a short story by Heinlein called "'—All You Zombies—'". I enjoyed most of it, although I found the last 20 minutes very confusing.

I saw The Imitation Game and The Theory of Everything recently. Both are good, and The Imitation Game is probably one of the best I've seen in 2014.

You know what? I think the Man in the High Castle is an Amazon produced series. Anyone know about it?

I just saw the pilot episode, actually, and i thought it was very good. I think it perfectly captures what the world would be like in that era if the Nazis had won. It looks so bleak and gloomy, and even depressing. But most important, it feels realistic. The dialogue is not very good, though, imo, and I found the characters boring a few times. Overall I was pleased with the episode. I haven't read the book yet.

I don't know if it's a good thing that nowadays they're starting to adapt single books into tv shows that last for several seasons. They want to do the same with American Gods, by Neil Gaiman.

Getting the pilot episode while I write this ... I have to admit I am a bit excited :)

I have watched the episode and am not really thrilled about it. Fortunately by expectations weren't very high. I will watch the next episodes as well ... just because I can.

Haven't seen Adjustment Bureau or Radio FA ... to be honest I didn't know they exist. As I trust your opinion I will not get through the trouble of acquiring them. Not enough time for bad movies.

It was OK for what it was. But they turned it into a love story that was predominant over the paranoia and manipulation angles.

I guess love stories sell more tickets than paranoia and manipulation one? Or that was probably the producers' thinking.

It was a Matt Damon's tentpole film.

Hollywood movie scripts are written almost by template, so they always shoehorn in a romance, even if the source material has no romance at all.

I don't go see any "PKD" Movies. Hollywood is completely incapable of doing them justice because they always fuck with them, especially the endings.

Paycheck was my favorite of his short stories, I refuse to watch the film.

I might check out the Man in the High Castle's pilot I hear at least the first episode is free.

Anyone check out SyFy's new 12 Monkeys series? I'm so very afraid to try.
