Orson Scott Card has a stroke

Post by Shaitan »

As much as I hesitate to link to OSC's official web site, that seems to be where every article elsewhere is actually quoting from, so:

http://www.hatrack.com/" onclick="window.open(this.href);return false;

Apparently it was "minor," happened on the 1st, and he's recovering.

FWIW.

Too bad it wasn't Kev.

he's already had a stroke... or he must have, considering how his creative functions seem impaired.

Or BoBo.

Of course, he's probably pretty much brain dead anyway. :roll:

When's the last time anyone saw him in public? Maybe it's like a Weekend at Bernie's thing and Kevin is his puppet master.

This is a fair point. How long has it been? He did some publicity for Jessica Passes Wind on Dune, right? :think:

And I haven't seen anything yet that says Bobo will be doing any support work for Hellblow.

Hmmmm ... Christakes, maybe the guy is dead.

(If anyone could tell the difference, that is).

I'm still very proud of The Quarry but … let's face it; in the end the real best way to sign off would have been with a great big rollicking Culture novel.

The problem isn't his religion.

The problem is that he's a jackass.

:idea: Yup, that would about sum up the problem! I would say though that a Mor(m)on quite possibly has a higher likelihood of jackass-dom than the average person. I respect people's right to their religions, but seriously, not all religions are equal, some really ARE crazy and some really are actually pretty sane. Of course, each person can add to or subtract from the insanity. Lots of Christians (and I''m sure even the Mormon variety) are good and sane, and lots of people from sane belief systems are completely insane.

So... yeah... I try to to judge people in advance based on their beliefs, but if they prove themselves to be idiots and then I find out they're also a Mormon or a Scientologist or insertothertotallywhackoreligionhere then it does ADD to their idiotness. (If I find a good person that's also in one of those religons though it doesn't at all subtract from their goodness in my opinion, it just confuses me some).
